Design system and UX for a Canada-wide mover with 200+ employees.
Two Small Men with Big Hearts Moving is a well-established Canadian professional moving company with over four decades of industry experience.
They provide top-tier moving services to both residential and commercial clients throughout Canada and have emerged as one of the fastest-growing moving firms in the Canadian market. Recognizing the need for an updated online presence, their development team was eager to start the project. They sought us out first to improve the experience on every screen, phone first.
The initial wireframes handed off were a good start to rethinking the site but needed clarity and brand direction. Tri Lion worked to clarify the brand direction, simplify the experience, and make everything easier for the user. Fewer clicks, more information.
Through a series of meetings and concept sprints iterating on the UX and initial wireframes, we came up with a design system that built onto their current brand. The system created a consistent approach to the site layout, making users feel comfortable on every page. By using part of their logo to create patterning, we helped liven up the site and build brand recognition.
Most of their users book from a phone, so the site works more like an app than a desktop site. Slide-out navigation jumps to specific sections and cuts down on scroll fatigue. For mobile users, we also created a quick app-style walkthrough that filters move details by type of house, bedrooms, and more, so people get a quote fast and the sales team gets a head start.
SEO is king for this type of company. We created city-based landing pages so people feel comfortable with the local services, including sections about each city and what it's like living there, with fun facts, activities, and more.
A design system and website for one of Canada's fastest-growing movers: fewer clicks, faster quotes, and city pages built for search.

[Tri Lion] was good at setting expectations and meeting them. [They were] always done by the date [they] promised. Communication was excellent. [Tri Lion's] greatest features were [their] honesty and openness.
